An adorable little boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and three whisker-like scars on each cheek named Naruto Uzumaki scurried toward the sandbox while his father, Arashi, took a seat on a bench and spoke to a dark-haired man who sat there too.

“Hee hee! Sandcastles…believe it!” Naruto giggled as he tapped his little toy shovel against the upturned bucket filled with sand. He lifted it up, and then smashed at the sand with the shovel! “Bye bye, sand!”

Naruto was having so much fun, that he didn’t notice a little boy his age come up to him.
“Um…can I play too?”
He looked up and saw a little boy with black hair styled in a rooster tail in the back, black eyes, and wore a black t-shirt with white shorts and cute little shoes.
Naruto grinned. “Sure! Come play!”
“Yay!” The other little boy sat across from him. “My name is Sasuke, what’s your name?”
“Naruto! Naruto Uzumaki! Believe it!” Naruto grinned.
“Hi, Naruto.” Sasuke took the other toy shovel and started scooping sand into a bucket.
“Hi, Sasuke! Ready to make a sandcastle?”
“Yes!”
And with that, they both went to work and made quite a sloppy sandcastle, but neither of them cared.
“Yay! It’s the bestest sandcastle in the world!” Naruto cheered.
“Yay!” Sasuke cheered.
But then it crumpled.
“Aww…” The boys said.
“Want to go on the swings, Sasuke?”
“Okay!”
Laughing, the boys went over to the swingset and each climbed onto a swing.
“Can you swing without someone pushing?” Sasuke asked.
“Yep! Can you?”
“Yes! Sometimes Itachi-nii-san pushes me!”
“My Daddy pushes me!”
“Whee!!”
“Whee!”
And soon they were swinging! Every now and then they’d glance at each other, and smile. If you looked at them that way, you could see something special between them.
“WHEEEE!! I’m going hiiiiggghhheeeerrr!!” Naruto yelled.
“No way! I’m going higher!!” Sasuke yelled back.
“Wanna bet?”
“Okay!”
“I’ll go higher than you!”
“You wish! I’m gonna go higher!”
“You’re on, Sasuke!”
“Okay, Naruto!”
Laughing their heads off, they continued to swing higher, and higher…when suddenly Naruto slipped and went flying off his swing!!
“AAAH!” He wailed as he sailed over the ground and landed in the sand box.
“NARUTO!!” Sasuke cried in panic, nearly crying. He jumped off the swing and hurried to the sandbox. “Naruto! Naruto!!” He kneeled next to Naruto’s sprawled body. “Naruto…are you okay?”
Naruto groaned and managed to get up. “Ugh…yeah, I think I’m okay.”
“Naruto!!!!” Sasuke cried with joy and hugged him tightly. “I was so scared!!!”
“Aww, it’s okay, Sasuke! I’m fine!” Naruto assured him, hugging back.
“Naruto! Come on, we have to go!” Naruto’s father called.
“Oh, I gotta go now, Sasuke. But we’re coming back tomorrow! You going to come?” Naruto said.
“Yes, I’ll ask my Daddy!”
“Okay, bye Sasuke!”
“Bye Naruto!”
Both boys hugged tightly and then hurried off to their fathers.

~The days go by…~

Nearly everyday, Sasuke and Naruto met up in the park and played together. They became the best of friends and were practically inseparable. Their parents even became friends and often brought them to each other’s houses where they could play while the parents chatted over coffee.

So on one particular day at the park, before leaving to go to Sasuke’s house, Naruto looked off and noticed a couple sitting together on a bench, smiling lovingly at each other. The boy had on a long coat, wore sunglasses and had spiky brown hair, and the girl had dark hair, wore orange clothes and had…fox ears perched on her head. Fake or real, they couldn’t tell. (I think you can guess who, G.G! XD)
“Ooh, Sasuke! Look over there!” Naruto pointed.
Sasuke looked up from digging a hole in the sand and looked in the direction Naruto was pointing in. “Aww…they look so cute together!”
The boys stopped playing and watched as the couple smiled lovingly at each other, whisper something, and then the boy softly kissed the girl.
“Ooh, what are they doing?” Naruto wondered.
“I saw Mommy and Daddy do that a few times.” Said Sasuke.
“Me too, I just wonder what it is.”
They glanced at each other.
“Want to try it?” Naruto asked.
“Sure, Naruto.” Sasuke replied.
Watching the couple again to see how it was done, both boys leaned in and their lips touched for a few moments, and then they pulled away.
“…Wow.” Said Naruto.
“That was…wow.” Sasuke agreed.
“That felt…nice.”
“It did…it did feel nice.”
They looked at each other again, and before they knew it they kissed again, and again, and again. They had no idea what it was, but they liked it. A lot.
“This is so fun, Sasuke!” Naruto squealed.
“I know, it’s so fun!” Sasuke agreed.
“Want to try with our tongues?”
“Okay!”
They giggled and then began tongue kissing, and like kissing, they liked it too. Before continuing, they looked at the couple again, who had just kissed and were now cuddling on the bench, watching the sunset off in the horizon.
“Sasuke, what were we doing?”
“I don’t know, Naruto…it must be a game people play!”
“I wonder what the game is called?”
“Why don’t we come up with our own name for it?”
“Okay! Let’s call it…Mouth Fun!” Naruto declared.
“I like it…Mouth Fun!” Sasuke clapped his hands with delight.
They both laughed and then “Mouth Funned” again before getting back to playing in the sand.
While doing so, Naruto looked up. “Hey, look Sasuke! Those two over there are playing Mouth Fun too!”
“Where?” Sasuke looked up and then toward the indicated direction.
Sure enough, two kids, a little boy with blonde hair and a little girl with curly brown hair, were playing on the jungle gym. The little girl was laughing and she jumped down, the little boy following her, and then tickled her. They laughed again and then “Mouth Funned” as Sasuke and Naruto aptly called it.
“Think they know about Mouth Fun then?” Sasuke asked.
“I think so, Sasuke!”

~A few days later…~

“You go have fun, Naruto.” Said Arashi as he went and sat on a bench, reading a book.
Naruto looked around for Sasuke, and found him in the sandbox, where they usually met. He eagerly ran toward him.
“Sasuke!!” He squealed.
Sasuke looked up and smiled. “Hey, Naruto! I finally made a good sandcastle!”
“Yay!!” Naruto looked at it, indeed it was a good castle, even if it was only half done. “Can I help?”
“Of course! But…I want to play Mouth Fun first!”
Naruto laughed. “Okay, Sasuke!”
They went over each other and started playing “Mouth Fun”, this time rolling around in the sandbox, kiss after kiss after kiss. It was just so fun for them now. They had it narrowed down to an art.
After “playing” awhile, they both got up and went back to their sandcastle.
“You’re my bestest best friend, Sasuke.” Naruto smiled.
“And you’re mine too, Naruto.” Sasuke smiled back.
“And we’ll always be bestest friends, right?”
“Of course we will, always!”
They hooked their pinkies over their sandcastle.
“Will we still play Mouth Fun when we grow up?” Sasuke asked.
“Sure we will!” Said Naruto. “We’ll have fun with it when we grow up too!”
And little did they know, they really would!
“Yay! We finished our sandcastle!”
“Hurray!”
The boys stood to admire their work. It was a good castle all right.
“Hey, in the winter when we come out to play, want to make a snow castle?” Said Naruto.
“Wow! A snow castle? I never made one!” Said Sasuke.
“I did it once, it’s fun and easy!”
“Yay! I can’t wait for winter!”
“I want snow too!”
They both laughed.

~And that winter…~

“Daddy Daddy!” Naruto grabbed his Father’s sleeve. “Let’s go to Sasuke’s house! There’s snow!”
Arashi laughed. “All right, Naruto. Get your stuff and let’s go to Sasuke’s house.”
“Yay!!” Naruto went to go put on his winter gear.

They reached the Uchiha Mansion, and sure enough, Sasuke was outside playing.
“Sasuke!!” Naruto ran through the snow to meet his best friend.
“Naruto!!” Sasuke squealed happily.
They both went and hugged each other, and played Mouth Fun.
“Want to make a snow castle?” Said Sasuke.
“Okay! Let’s go!” Naruto said happily.

While working on the snow castle, Naruto slowly rolled some snow into a ball and hid it behind his back. “Hey Sasuke?”
“Huh?” Sasuke looked up.
“THINK FAST!” Naruto tossed the snowball at him.
“Hey!!” Sasuke cried. But then he constructed a snowball too. “TAKE THIS!”
And that began a snowball fight. Laughing and giggling, running and hiding, the boys tossed snowball after snowball to each other, having so much fun.
“YAA!!” Naruto launched another snowball at his best friend and then tackled him.
“Aww…no fair!” Sasuke pouted.
Naruto grinned.
Smirking, Sasuke flipped them over. “Ha! Now I got you, Naruto!”
“Okay…you got me!”
“Now I want to play Mouth Fun!!” Sasuke declared and then kissed Naruto sweetly.
“Yay!” Naruto squealed in between the “Mouth Funs” and kissed him too.

From inside, the parents watched as their boys kissed and kissed.
“My gosh, look at them! They’re kissing! That’s so adorable!” Mikoto Uchiha said.
“Looks like they discovered kissing all right.” Said Fugaku Uchiha.
Arashi laughed. “That’s our boys.”

“Naruto?” Sasuke said.
“Yes?”
“I have fun playing Mouth Fun with you!”
“Me too, Sasuke!”
They laughed and started kissing again.

~10 years later…~

Sasuke stood near the sandbox, watching as a few children played in it. He smiled, this little sandbox sure brought back memories.
“Hey, Sasuke!” Naruto came up beside him. “Back at the ol’ sandbox, huh?”
“Yep. Back where it all started.” Sasuke said.
“Yeah, remember back when we first kissed, and we called it Mouth Fun?” Naruto snickered.
“Oh yes, I remember that.” Sasuke chuckled. “We sure had no idea about kissing.”
“Well, now we do. And it’s all thanks to that couple we saw.”
“If it hadn’t been for them, I don’t know if we ever would’ve discovered…Mouth Fun.” Sasuke murmured.
“I wonder…”
They both smiled and leaned in to kiss softly, like they’d done for ten years. After all now, they were going out.

It was amazing how they started off as little kids happy and having fun, and turned out to be mid-age teenagers like they were, and all this time they shared kissing.
It was adorable.
