Naruto slumped heavily on Sasuke’s bed in the dark, lonely Uchiha mansion. It had been 6 years now since Sasuke had left to join Orochimaru. 3 years ago, Orochimaru had been killed, and Sasuke still hadn’t returned.

I never could’ve seen this far
I never could’ve seen this coming
Seems like my world’s falling apart

Needless to say, he really missed Sasuke. As impossible as it may have seemed, he’d had developed very strong…and romantic feelings for the Uchiha. He’d denied it many times, thinking it was nothing and that he just missed him. But no, it was much more than that. And by now, at 18, he knew it.

Why is everything so hard
I don’t think I can deal with the things you said
It just won’t go away

“Naruto…? Are you all right?” Came an ever-familiar Irish accent from the doorway.
Naruto looked up at Sasuke’s slightly older cousin, and smiled sadly. “Yeah, I’m fine Teah-nee-chan. No need to worry.”
She came into the room and sat next to him on the bed. “It’s okay, Snookie. I miss him too. It’s been hard since he left.”
“All because of that bastard Itachi.” Naruto muttered.
“That’s a given.” Teah agreed.

“I really hope he’ll come back someday. I’d love to see the look on his face when he sees me become Hokage.” Naruto said with a small grin.
Teah chuckled. “I’ll bet he’ll be incredibly proud of you. And also have the streak to try to defeat you.”
“Like always! That’s why we’re so perfect for each other! Always competing, trying to outdo each other, just looking for that final showdown! And yet at the same time, we have each other’s backs and became the best of friends!” Naruto declared.
“That’s for sure, you really broke the ice of Sasuke’s heart and awakened him a bit from the darkness that consumed him.” Teah patted his shoulder.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right, Teah-nee-chan.” Naruto nodded.
“I know so.” Teah smiled, and then she stood. “I’m going to get to bed now. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Okay, Teah-nee-chan! I’ll let myself out.”
“Naruto, you can stay here as long as you want. This house is your house now.” She gave him another smile and headed out the door.
Naruto sighed and ran his hand along the warm, soft blanket of Sasuke’s bed.

“Man…I wish I could bring him back…I wish I could’ve.” Naruto nearly cried.
It seemed like it was too late, but at the same time, it really wasn’t. It wasn’t so late at all.
After all, it was never too late to correct a mistake.

Naruto wiped a tear that threatened to fall from his eye and sighed. “Sasuke…God damn it you stupid bastard…”

Naruto looked out the window into the depths of the night and sighed heavily before he turned away to head out the door. “Sasuke…I love you so much…”

Just as Naruto reached the doorway, he felt a pair of slim yet strong arms come around him from behind, and felt a soft, velvety deep voice speak into his ear, and felt warm breath. Naruto let out a short gasp.
“I love you too, Naruto.”
The blonde turned around, and met with the ever familiar ebony eyes. Although they were normally emotionless, they held a look of pure love and adoration.
And it was directed right at him.
“Sasuke…” Naruto felt tears fall down his cheeks as he brought his arms around the Uchiha in a tight hug, never wanting to let go.
Sasuke smiled lightly and hugged the blonde to him. “I missed you too, Naru-chan.”
A loud sniff came from Naruto as he buried his face in Sasuke’s neck. “I love you Sasuke…welcome back…”
“I love you too, Naruto. I’m glad to be home.”
Naruto sobbed lightly. Sasuke let him cry for a few minutes, and then he lifted the blonde’s face toward his, smiling.
“Don’t cry Naruto…I’m home now, and I’m never leaving you again.” And with that he closed the gap between them.

And all of that, was what led to a night, and many nights after, of love, passion, hunger, and love.

They were together again, and were never going to let each other go.

This was definitely a perfect world.
